“I’ll be sure to ask her about it.” he murmured, mostly to himself instead of the duo. Feeling the golden eyes flicking over his form, he sent a glare towards her, green hues piercing through the intricate machinery. That is, until her words made him blink once in slight confusion, not entirely understanding what she was hinting. But before he could voice his curiosity, the interruption of the silver one made him turn his gaze to him.

“I did not take any of your words as any sort of assault. But, you have piqued my curiosity, little bird, with your earlier statement.” Cold hues settled on the gold one once again, lips pulled down into an angry frown. ”Explain what you meant, now.”

Hoo hoo hoo… Is that a fact? [Despite her shorter stature compared to the arrancar, Lechku chuckled quietly to herself, smiling bemusedly at the frown settled on her.] Unfortunately for you, dear demon, I have no obligation to explain myself to you. You are not my monarch, and despite the nature of your relationship with her you are not my warden by extension. Better luck next time, hm~?

[In contrast, Nechku sighed, clicking his tongue distastefully.] I’m afraid she does this often. It’s in her nature to lead others on and then leave them hanging, I’m afraid.

I only do what I find the most enjoyable, brother~

They were odd, to say the least. And the fact that they were simply staring at him as if they already knew about him and what he did was all the more reason to allow the slight inkling of unease to flow through him. Not that it would stay for long, he would simply have to get used to their presence, something that wouldn’t require that much time.

An eyebrow was raised ever so slightly at the comment, head tilting slightly, before understanding what she had meant. “Warden? I did not know that she had taken it upon herself to watch over you.” Distinctly avoiding answering the question, he would need to ask Lorna about this pair whenever he saw her next, as it was obvious that they knew her.

The details are unimportant. Lorna Aden can explain it to you some other time. [Lechku looked the arrancar up and down through half-lidded golden eyes, as though appraising him or judging him in some such manner.] Of course, this is a surprise. I was always of the impression that our caretaker had a preference for the… smaller things in life, we’ll say. Though you certainly give off the chilly impression she gluttons for.

[From behind the small woman came Nechku, placing a hand on his sister’s shoulder.] You’ll have to excuse my sister. She can be a bit… brash, but her and I mean you no quarrel.

Well, this was…interesting. Never before had the pale arrancar set his sights upon two beings such as this, things that looked as if they belonged to a place not of this world. Cold, green hues settled gently on one, than the other, taking in their appearance, not finding the right words to convey any sort of acknowledgement that he had seen them.

[Just as the white one looked upon them, Lechku and Nechku stared back at him. There was no denying what they knew about their little caretaker and her romantic plights… but of course, the small detail of her beau’s way of living—see, arrancar—had eluded them. For obvious reasons, but they would surely have a talk with Lorna later.]

[Finally Lechku stepped forward for her brother’s side, arms across her chest, and addressed the solider upfront.] So… you are the one showing our dear warden around town, as it were?

We take even less kindly to intruders as you know.

If one of us were to maim an outsider, I would certainly hope you would put in a good word for us.

“That depends entirely on who it is and whether I turn a blind eye to it.”

Well if you’re followed by someone particularly irritating, I would hope we would at least be given thanks.

Fruit baskets are hard to come by in Kamui, you know.

“You two like pineapple, yes?”

Oh you know me too well~

I’m more of a melon person myself~

“Is it idiot proof?”

Considering it’s Oina proof?

Yes, it’s very much idiot proof.

“Good.”

Ahh, lovely to see common sense is still at an all time low after all these years.

“I may be moving in with you. How good are your locks?”

“Neeeeechkuuuuuuu. Control your sister!”

W-What do you expect me to do!

“Turn her off or something!”

I can’t do that, she’s my sister, not a child’s plaything!

Thank you brother dear, I knew you would understand~
